Goldleaf: Not What it Used to Be

"I purchased my first Thymes Goldleaf (back then it was called Goldleaf & Hydrangea) product approximately 30 years ago, and I immediately fell in love with its incredible fragrance. It was soft, powdery, floral, clean, and beautifully feminine—a truly unforgettable scent. When the store where I regularly purchased these products was going out of business, I bought their entire remaining stock of Goldleaf which lasted for years. That is how much I loved it! My supply lasted until recently, and when I finally used the last of it, I was delighted to discover that Goldleaf was still available through both Amazon and the Thymes website. Without hesitation, I placed orders from both, purchasing hand soaps, body washes, lotions, room sprays, candles, and just about everything else in the collection. Unfortunately, as with so many beloved products these days, something has changed. The fragrance is now considerably lighter, to the point that it barely resembles the lovely original scent I loved so much. It also lacks the lasting power that once made Goldleaf so special. What was once a rich, delicate, powdery floral fragrance with a beautiful, lingering presence now seems like a faint version of its former self. After nearly 30 years of loving and using Goldleaf, I am genuinely disappointed. I had hoped to rediscover the fragrance I cherished for so many years, but sadly, that is no longer the case. I now find myself searching for a replacement for a product I never imagined I would stop using. I sincerely wish Thymes would bring back the original Goldleaf fragrance, with the same beautiful scent and lasting quality that made it so exceptional."
